Alias: CAM

Creates a 3D view of the drawing according to a location and target.

To modify a camera, select it in the drawing and move its grips or change its properties in the Properties pane. Cameras are named views that can also be changed using the View Manager.

Specify camera location: Select the location where to place the camera.

Specify target location: Select the location where the camera should view.

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose ? to list existing cameras. Choose Name to enter a new name for the camera. Choose LOcation to specify a new camera location. Choose Height to specify the camera height. Choose Target to specify a new target point for viewing. Choose LEns to change the lens length. Choose Clipping to specify limits for the view. Choose View to specify whether to switch the current view to the camera settings when you are done creating the camera. Choose eXit or press Enter when done.

To list existing cameras

Enter ?.

Enter camera name(s) to list <*>: Enter the name of the camera or enter * to list all existing cameras.

To specify a camera name

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose Name.

Enter name for new camera <Camera1>: Enter a new name for the camera, then press Enter.

To specify a new camera location

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose LOcation to change the camera location.

Specify camera location <>: Specify the camera location, then press Enter.

To specify the camera height

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose Height.

Specify camera height <0.0000>: Specify the height of the camera, then press Enter.

To specify a new target point for viewing

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose Target.

Specify target location <>: Specify the target point of the camera view, then press Enter. The target location is the center of the view.

To specify the camera lens length

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose LEns.

Specify lens length in mm <50.0000>: Enter the length of the lens. The greater the value, the more narrow the view. The value must be 600 or less in millimeters.

To specify the view limits

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose Clipping. There are two clipping planes that help define the view. Anything between the camera and the front clipping plane is hidden, and anything between the back clipping plane and the target is hidden.

Enable front clipping plane?[Yes No] <No>: Choose Yes to specify a front clipping plane for the view, enter a distance, and then press Enter. Choose No to disable a front clipping plane.

Enable back clipping plane?[Yes No] <No>: Choose Yes to specify a back clipping plane for the view, enter the distance, and then press Enter. Choose No to disable a back clipping plane.

To specify whether to switch the view to the camera settings

Enter an option [?/Name/LOcation/Height/Target/LEns/Clipping/View/eXit]<eXit>: Choose View.

Switch to camera view?[Yes No] <No>: Choose Yes to switch the current view to the camera settings when the camera is created. Choose No to keep the current view the same when the camera is created.
