Cuts (removes) the selection from your drawing and places it on the Windows Clipboard. You can paste the selection into another location in the drawing, into another drawing, or into another program.

Select entities to cut to the clipboard: Select the entities you want cut. The entities are copied to the Clipboard in the following formats:

Format Explanation
Picture WMF (Windows metafile), a vector format.
Bitmap BMP, a raster format.
Enhanced metafile EMF (enhanced metafile), a vector format.
CADdirect The native vector format of the program.
Object Descriptor Used by OLE v2.
DIB Device-independent bitmap, a raster format.

To paste the drawing in a specific format, use the Edit > Paste Special command. For example, you can paste the drawing in picture (WMF or EMF) format to create a two-dimensional version of a three-dimensional drawing.
