Distant Light: DISTANTLIGHT

()

Keyboard: _DISTANTLIGHT

Adds a distant light to your drawing for rendering. A distant light shines light from its location towards the direction you specify, similar to light from the sun, when the drawing is displayed using visual styles that support rendering (Realistic, Conceptual, Shaded, etc.). Distant lights can also be used when rendering drawings in Artisan Renderer (in versions of CADdirect that support it).

Specify source location <0.0000,0.0000,0.0000>: Enter the x-, y-, and z-coordinates of where to place the distant light, or click the location in the drawing.

Specify target location <0.0000,0.0000,-10.0000>: Enter the x-, y-, and z-coordinates of the location you want to light, or click the location in the drawing.

Edit the distant light.

You can move and copy distant lights in your drawing, just as you would any other entity. To specify settings for the distant light, such as color and intensity, right-click the distant light, choose Properties, and make your selections in the Properties pane.
