Set Location (command line version): GEO

Keyboard: -_GEO

Assigns geographic location data to the drawing file. An Internet connection is required.

Set location from [Map/File/Current location]: To assign a geographic location from a .kml (Keyhole Markup Language) or .kmz (compressed KML) file, choose File and specify the file. To assign a geographic location by entering geographic coordinates, choose Map and enter the values for latitude, longitude, and optionally elevation. To assign your current location as the geographic location, choose Current Location.

Specify coordinate system [? to list/WORLD-MERCATOR]: Choose ? to list all coordinate systems that are available for the geographic location you specified. Or press Enter to use the World-Mercator coordinate system, which is the default.

Select a point for the location <0, 0, 0>: Specify a point in model space that will be used for placing a geographic marker. The geographic marker corresponds to the geographic location on the Earth surface that you have specified in the Geographic Location - Set Location dialog box.

Specify the north direction angle or [First point]: Specify the angle of deviation from the x-axis that will indicate the north direction. To specify a start point and end point of a line that will indicate the north direction, choose First point and continue with the following prompts.

Specify first point: Pick a point in the drawing or enter its coordinates.

Specify second point for north direction: Pick a second point or enter its coordinates.


NOTE When a geographic location is assigned to a drawing from a .kml or .kmz file, the first location mark defined in the selected file is used to place the red geographic marker in the drawing.
