( Ribbon: Edit > Get Selection (in Selection), Express Tools > Get Selection (in Tools) Menu: Edit > Selection > Get Selection, Express Tools > Tools > Get Selection Keyboard: _GETSEL Selects all entities in a drawing that match both the layer of an entity you select and the type of an entity you select. The selection set can be reused in other commands either through the pick-first selection or by selecting the previous selection. Select an entity on the source layer <*>: Select an entity that is located on the desired layer. Select an entity of the type you want <*>: Select an entity that is the desired type.
