Convert Block to Xref: INSERTTOXREF |

( Ribbon: Express Tools > Convert Block to Xref (in Blocks) Menu: Express Tools > Blocks > Convert Block to Xref Keyboard: _INSERTTOXREF Converts each occurrence of a selected block to an external reference. Use the Purge command afterwards to remove the unused blocks from the drawing. Pick the block to convert to an XREF: Select the block that you want to convert to an external reference. In the Save As dialog box that appears, enter the filename and location where you want to save the external reference, then click Save. All occurrences of the block in the drawing are converted.
