Alias: J, RECOMBINE, UNITE

Joins two or more entities at their common endpoints into one two-dimensional or three-dimensional entity. The type of the source entity determines which entities can be joined to it.

Select source entity or multiple entities to join at once: Select the entity that you want to join with another.

To join lines

 

 

  1. Select the first line you want to join.
  2. Select the second co-linear line you want to join.

Result.

Select the line you want to join.

Select entities to join to source: Select the lines you want to join to the first line. The lines must be co-linear, but they can have space between their endpoints. The lines are extended towards each other until they are joined into a single line; the farthest start and end points of the source lines are unchanged.

To join arcs

 

 

  1. Select the first arc you want to join.
  2. Select the second arc you want to join.

Result.

Select the arc you want to join.

Select entities to join to source: Select the arcs you want to join to the first arc. To join arcs, the arcs must be parts of the same circle (with the same center and radius).

To join multiple entities without specifying a source entity

Select source entity or multiple entities to join at once: Select all the entities you want to join into a single entity.
