Starts the New Drawing Wizard, which leads you through the process of either creating a new drawing or using a template with predefined settings. Using a template is a good way to establish and standardize drawings with the settings you use most often, such as units of measure, layer names, dimension styles, special aliases, and so on.

To use a template, create a drawing with all the settings you want to use as your standard for creating drawings. Save the drawing as a template (.dwt) file with an appropriate name, and place it in a template folder.

The next time you create a new drawing, select Use A Template Drawing, and then click Browse to find and select the template you created. The new drawing you create will have the same settings as your template.
