PDF In (command line version): PDFIMPORT

Keyboard: -_PDFIMPORT

Imports data from a .pdf file or attached .pdf underlay to the current drawing.

To import from a file

Select PDF underlay or [File]: Choose File. In the Select Reference File dialog box, select the desired .pdf file.

Enter page number or [?]: Enter the page number to import, or click ? for a list of pages available in the file.

Enter page(s) to list <*>: Press Enter to display the list of available pages in the .pdf file in the Prompt History window.

Specify insertion point: Click in the drawing area, or enter coordinates of the insertion point. The default is the UCS origin (0,0).

Specify scale factor or [Unit]: To specify a different scale factor to use for imported .pdf data, enter its value and then press Enter. Or choose Unit to set a new scale factor by specifying a new drawing unit for imported .pdf data.

To import from an underlay

Select PDF underlay or [File]: To import data from a .pdf underlay, click on the .pdf underlay frame to select it.

Specify first corner of area to import or [Polygonal/All/Settings]: To choose entities to import from the underlay using a rectangular selection window, specify its two diagonal corners in the drawing. To choose entities to import using a polygonal crossing window, choose Polygonal and pick at least three points to define its boundary. To import all entities in the .pdf underlay, choose All. To specify more options for import, choose Settings. In the Import PDF from Underlay dialog box, make your selections, and then press OK.

Keep, detach or unload PDF underlay? [Keep/Detach/Unload]: To keep the .pdf underlay unchanged after importing the specified entities, choose Keep. To remove the .pdf underlay from the drawing, choose Detach. To temporarily hide the .pdf underlay, choose Unload.
