( Ribbon: Insert > Point Cloud Underlay (in Data) Menu: Insert > Point Cloud Underlay Keyboard: _POINTCLOUDATTACH Attaches a point cloud file as an underlay to the current drawing. A point cloud is a set of 3D vertices that represents the surface of an entity in three dimensions. Point cloud files are typically created by 3D-scanners. In the Select Reference File dialog box, select the desired .pcg, .rcp, or .rcs file, then click Open. The Attach Point Cloud dialog box displays. DIALOG BOX OPTIONS Point Cloud is Found At Displays the full path and name of the point cloud to attach. Point Cloud Path will be Saved As Displays how the path to the point cloud will be referenced. Click [>] to specify whether the full path, relative path, or only the filename will be saved as part of the reference to the point cloud file. Insertion Point To specify the insertion point of the point cloud directly in the drawing after you click OK, choose Specify on Screen. Or unmark the check box to specify the x,y,z-coordinates of the insertion point for the point cloud. Scale To specify the scale factor for the point cloud directly in the drawing after you click OK, choose Specify on Screen. Or unmark the check box to specify the scale factor in Scale. The default value is 1.0; a value less than 1 results in a smaller point cloud; a value larger than 1 results in a larger point cloud. A negative value mirrors (reverses) the point cloud. Rotation To specify the rotation angle for the point cloud directly in the drawing after you click OK, choose Specify on Screen. Or unmark the check box to specify the rotation of the point cloud in Angle. The default is 0 degrees. Preview Displays a preview of the point cloud. Point Cloud Details Click to view details about the point cloud such as number of points, point cloud size, and more. Lock Point Cloud Select to make the point cloud fixed after you insert it. In the drawing, you will not be able to move or rotate it. Zoom to Point Cloud Select to zoom automatically to the point cloud after you insert it. Tell me about... |
