The 3D Settings tab of the Drawing Settings dialog box controls how three-dimensional entities are created, such as the default thickness and elevation, shading, and surface creation defaults. Use the Shading and Surfaces tabs to set 3D Settings defaults. DIALOG BOX OPTIONS Current 3D thickness Specify a value for the thickness of entities, such as point, line, arc, circle, and polyline. Current 3D elevation Specify a value for the elevation in the z-direction. All entities are drawn with the base at this elevation, unless overridden. The default is 0. Show plan view when changing UCS Click the check box to display the plan view when changing the UCS. Shading Edge shading Select the type of shading that you want: Shade faces, no edges equivalent to 256-color shading. Shade faces, edges in background color 256-color shading with outlined faces. No faces, edges in entity color equivalent to hidden-line removal. Faces in entity color, edges in background color equivalent to 16-color shading. Surface Surface settings Select the density used to create surfaces with the Revolved Surface, Ruled Surface, and Extruded Surface commands. Surface type Select the type of smoothing created by the Smooth option of the Edit Polyline command. Tell me about... |
