Leader Settings dialog box

Use this dialog box to choose how leaders are created when using the Quick Leader command. 

ANNOTATION TAB

Annotation Type Choose the type of annotation to include at the end of the leader:

• Multiline Text The leader includes a multiline text annotation. You will be prompted to enter lines of text.
• Copy an Entity The leader includes a copy of an entity for the annotation. You will be prompted to select a block, tolerance, multiline text, or text.
• Tolerance The leader includes a tolerance annotation. You will be prompted to define a tolerance in the Geometric Tolerance dialog box.
• Block Reference The leader includes a block annotation. You will be prompted to specify a block.
• None The leader does not include an annotation.

Prompt for Width You will be prompted for the width of multiline text. (Available only if you selected Mtext as the annotation type.)

Always Left Justify Multiline text annotation will be left justified. (Available only if you selected Mtext as the annotation type.)

Frame Text Select to include a frame around multiline text. (Available only if you selected Mtext as the annotation type.)

Annotation Reuse Choose how to reuse annotations:

• None Annotation are not reused.
• Reuse Next Repeats the next annotation you create for all future annotations.
• Reuse Current Repeats the current annotation for all future annotations. This option is selected automatically after you have used Reuse Next to create an annotation.

LINE and ARROW TAB

Leader Line Select whether the leader line type is straight or a spline.

No Limit (Number of Points) Select to have an infinite number of points allowed for the leader line.

Maximum (Number of Points) Enter the number of maximum points for the leader line. (Available if No Limit is unchecked.)

Arrowhead Select the type of arrowhead to include with the leader.

First Segment (Angle Constraints) Select a constraint angle for the first line segment.

Second Segment (Angle Constraints) Select a constraint angle for the second line segment.

ATTACHMENT TAB (available only when Multiline Text is selected on the Annotation tab)

Multiline Text Attachment Select how you want the leader line to be aligned with the multiline text annotation:

• Top of top line The leader line is aligned with the top of the first multiline text line.
• Middle of top line The leader line is attached at the middle of the first multiline text line.
• Middle of multiline text The leader line is aligned with the middle of the multiline text.
• Middle of bottom line The leader line is attached at the middle of the last multiline text line.
• Bottom of bottom line The leader line is attached at the bottom of the last multiline text line.

Underline bottom line Mark to underline the bottom line .
