Import Layouts as Sheets dialog box

Creates sheets from layouts in existing .dwg files. The Import Layouts as Sheets dialog box displays when you right-click a sheet set, subset, or sheet in the Sheet Set Manager and choose Import Layouts as Sheets.

Browse for Drawings Click to select drawings with layouts you want to use for sheets, then click Open. The dialog box then displays a list of all layouts in the drawings you select.

Layout List Displays all layouts in selected drawings. Mark each layout you want to import as a sheet.

  • Drawing Name — Displays the name of the drawing that contains the layout.
  • Layout Name — Displays the name of the layout.
  • Status — Displays the status of the layout. If No Errors displays, the layout is ready for import and publishing. If Layout Not Initialized displays, the layout is not assigned a valid printer. After the layout is imported, choose File > Page Setup and specify a valid printer for the page setup, or if no page setup is assigned, open the source drawing file, click the referenced Model or Layout tab, choose File > Print, specify a printer, then click Apply to Layout.

Prefix Sheet Titles with File Name Click to add the drawing file name as a prefix to the sheet title.

Import Checked Layouts Click to import all layouts that are marked.
