Variable: DIMPOST

Specifies the prefix and/or suffix that appears in dimension text. Use both left and right angle brackets (< >) to indicate the placement of a prefix or a suffix. Any text before the brackets displays as prefix text in the dimension text. Any text after the brackets displays as suffix text in the dimension text.

For example, if you set DIMPOST to 2X < > THRU, "2X" represents the prefix text and "THRU" represents the suffix text. If you then create a linear dimension with a measured value of 1.234, the entire dimension text string would read "2X 1.234 THRU."

To return DIMPOST to its default settings, type a period at the DIMPOST prompt.

You can also set DIMPOST by choosing Settings > Dimension Settings > Text tab, and typing the prefix or suffix in the fields.
