Variable: SHADEDGE

Determines shading of edges when using the SHADE command. The default value (3) displays edges in the background color and faces in the entity color. A value of 0 shades the faces without highlighting the edges. A value of 1 shades the faces and draws the edges in the background color. A value of 2 does not shade the faces and leaves the edges in the background color.
