You can create three-dimensional solids by extruding closed entities, such as polylines, polygons, circles, ellipses, closed splines, donuts, and regions. You can extrude the entity along a selected path, or you can specify its height and taper angle.
To create an extruded solid
1 Do one of the following to choose Extrude (
):
• On the ribbon, choose Draw 3D > Extrude (in Draw 3D Solids).
• On the menu, choose Draw > 3D Solids > Extrude.
• On the Draw 3D Solids toolbar, click the Extrude tool.
• Type extrude and then press Enter.
2 Select the entity to extrude.
If you want to create an extruded surface instead of a solid, choose Mode. If an open profile is selected, a surface is created even if Mode is set to Solid.
3 Select the extrusion path, or specify the height.
