Keyboard: _MAPIMPORT

Imports data from .shp, .sdf and .sqlite shapefiles and also from PostgreSQL, MySQL, and WFS servers. Shapefiles are used for storing geometric location and attribute information of geographic features.

Select database type [SDF/SQLITE/SHP/POSTGRESQL/MYSQL/WFS]: Select the database type.

To import data from an SDF, SQLITE, or SHP file

Select database type [SDF/SQLITE/SHP/POSTGRESQL/MYSQL/WFS]: Choose SDF, or SQLITE, or SHP.

In the dialog box that opens select the file that has data you want to import into your drawing file.

Enter input layer name or [?] <Default>: Specify the name of the input layer from which you want to import data.

Enter table name: Specify the name of the table to import data from.

Import object data [Yes/No]: Choose Yes to import non-geometry data from the source file, or choose No to import only geometry.

Enter target layer name: Specify the name of the layer in your drawing where you want to import data.

Use 3D mode [Yes/No]: Choose Yes to import three-dimensional geometry data in three dimensions. Choose No to convert it to two dimensions.

Import polygons as closed polylines [Yes/No]: To import polygons as closed polylines, choose Yes. To import polygons as polygons, choose No.

To use a POSTGRESQL, MYSQL, or WFS server to import data from

Select database type [SDF/SQLITE/SHP/POSTGRESQL/MYSQL/WFS]: Choose POSTGRESQL, MYSQL or WFS and then follow the prompts.
