Moves selected entities to another location in the same drawing.

 

 

  1. Select the entity you want to move.
  2. Select the base point and displacement point.

Result.

FILter/<Select entities to move>: Select the entities you want to move, and then press Enter. Choose FILter to filter the selection by properties.

Vector ◆ <Base point>: Specify the point from which you want to move the entities (the starting point of a vector). The distance and direction to move the entities is calculated relative to the starting point. To define the distance and direction for the move with x,y,z values, choose Vector.

Displacement point: Specify the point to which you want to move the entities (the ending point of the vector). To move the entity from the selection point to the Base Point, press Enter.

To define the x,y,z displacement point

Choose Vector.

Enter direction vector (x, y, z): Enter the x,y,z value to define the distance and direction in which to move the selected entities. For example, entering a value of 3,3,2 moves the entities at a distance of 3 units in the x direction, 3 units in the y direction, and 2 units in the z direction.


Use shortcuts.

Press Ctrl + arrow keys to move selected entities.

Click and drag the left mouse button to move selected entities. If you often move entities accidentally using the mouse, you can turn off this feature by unmarking Use Click-Drag to Move Selected Entities on the Drawing Settings - Display tab.
