Experience Level: Intermediate

Toggles the Nearest Snap on or off. After you turn it on, the pointer changes to a square at the center of the crosshairs. Any points or vertices you specify are snapped to the closest spot on the entity nearest the center of the crosshairs (within the square).

 

  1. Snap a line you are drawing to the nearest entity.

You can use Nearest Snap to snap to an arc, circle, ellipse, elliptical arc, line, point, polyline segment, ray, spline, hatch pattern, or infinite line that is visually closest to the cursor.
